Usefull Contact Information

Below are the official statewide directories and key contacts for NSW criminal matters. These were checked against government websites on 11 September 2026.

Courthouses and court registries

The NSW courthouse A–Z directory  lists Local and District Court locations, registry emails, telephone numbers, addresses and opening hours across NSW. Select the first letter of the town or courthouse.

The Courts Service Centre is 1300 679 272, Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–4:30 pm. Many courthouses use this central number.

The ODPP contact page provides office addresses and a general enquiry form, rather than a directory of individual prosecutors’ emails. Offices operate Monday–Friday, 9 am–5 pm, excluding public holidays. For a particular case, ask for the solicitor responsible for the matter.

For NSW Police prosecutors, who conduct criminal prosecutions in the Local and Children’s Courts, I did not locate a verified public statewide directory of local prosecution-team emails and direct numbers. A practical starting point is the officer in charge of the case or the relevant police station: request the contact details for the prosecution team servicing the court. When requesting a case-specific contact, have the accused’s name, court, case number and next court date ready.
